Two 1940s match covers promoting war bonds, one with an ad for Donald A Yontz Insurance of Freeville, NY and the other, with an additional reminder on the inside: "Don't you forget BUY was bonds & samps TODAY!"
The cover with the insurance company ad is unstruck with a small scrape on the inside edge, light wear and is in very good overall shape. The other one has a hole through the manufacturer's mark, and a dark spot (soot?) on the striker end and also inside the opposite end (see photos).
